Kelly, why did you choose FleetPartners?
We had an existing relationship with Fleet Partners, and when I came into the business, we did a tender, and Fleet Partners had the best tender response, and most commercially viable offer for Coates.
Tell me about your relationship with FleetPartners?
My relationship with FleetPartners is really good; it works really really well. I trust Fleet Partners, and I trust our business development manager implicitly. They’re always willing to go the extra mile and they’re reliable. It works really well. Nothing is ever too much trouble.
What’s different about FleetPartners?
In terms of when I did the comparisons with the tenders, I think that they’re flexible; they seem to be able to meet our requirements and our expectations easily. I think the account manager that we have is fabulous. They’re very comparable in the business when you look at products that they supply and the services that they supply, their strategic advice is excellent, and I find them very easy to deal with.
Can you give an example of how their strategic advice has helped?
The information and the drafting of documents that our Business Development Manager, Belinda’s done with regards to our motor vehicle policy and our novated lease policy has been fabulous and very helpful to the business.
What does FleetPartners offer that others don’t?
Our Business Development Manager is fabulous, as is the whole business. She works very hard. She is never not available for me. FleetPartners are willing to go the extra mile, they are more flexible and they have fantastic staff.
So the key to your relationship is definitely with your FleetPartners business development manager?
Absolutely. The relationship is important, no question.
Could you give us an example of how FleetPartners has helped you?
FleetPartners have run fuel card tenders for me, looking for the best supplier of fuel. We merged to an online fuel card system, and they assisted and managed the whole thing for me. We recently implemented an accident management company, which was done hand in hand with FleetPartners. It helped to reduce our risk, and FleetPartners were instrumental in that. Recently I did a tender on sulphur flow of motor vehicles. FleetPartners ran all the scenarios and all the quotations and assisted me immensely. They helped me with all my analysis. They are always continually helping me, and nothing is ever too much trouble.
So your account manager handles everything?
My account manager is very proactive – she’s like my right hand when it comes to fleet. The one word that I would use to describe my relationship with FleetPartners is ‘easy’. FleetPartners make it easy for me and easy for the business. What they say they’ll do, they do. We have a really good relationship, really good open lines of communication. We’ve been with FleetPartners for about 6 or 7 years and currently have 1200 vehicles.
