Head of Project Management, Innovation and Contracts
World Vision of Australia

Michael, why did you choose FleetPartners?

Recommendations are really important for World Vision, and FleetPartners was recommended to us by another party. When we started looking around the market, we found that FleetPartners had a good presence within the ‘not for profit’ sector. It was really important for us to know that a supplier was aware of the issues (our) sector, so that’s why we chose FleetPartners.

What’s different about FleetPartners?

With FleetPartners, it’s probably their people and the way they treat our business as their own. They adapt and they understand what our business’s needs are and make decisions and recommendations based on that, even if it is to the detriment of FleetPartners.

What do you like most about working with FleetPartners?

It’s seamless and pain-free. We have to deal with a lot of suppliers and it would be fair to say that FleetPartners would have to be in the top five in terms of not having to worry about dealing with that particular supplier.

How does your FleetPartners Business Development Manager make a difference to your business?

Once again, its back to understanding who we are and what we need, being adaptive and flexible. An example of that is when they come to us with a recommendations, it allows us to focus more on our core business and not have to worry about the fleet side of it.

Can you give me an example?

In 2005, company growth meant that we had nearly 40 vehicles. It was FleetPartners who came in and understood what our operations and requirements were, and they were able to reduce the number of vehicles we had on our fleet by 30 per cent. They were also able to achieve cost savings of just over 40 per cent. A big thing for us is the environmental impact, and they were able to reduce our CO2 emissions by nearly 60 per cent. This is a great example of Fleet Partners helping World Vision concentrate on its core business, making fleet a seamless and pain free commodity for us.
